Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! (www.playon.ca) is Canada’s Largest Sports Festival. With 12 large-scale tournaments being operated across Canada, culminating in with a national championship final (The Redwood Cup), the program represents a unique yet true celebration of both Canadian culture and sport.
Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! consists of large-scale, street hockey tournament festivals held in high-profile, urban locations. These festivals feature separate tournament divisions for both genders and individuals of all ages and skill level. Events are held over the full course of a weekend.
The event returns to the streets on Old Placentia Road in Mount Pearl, June 13/14.
The event is expected to attract 500+teams, over 3500 participants and over 25,000 spectators over the course of the weekend.
This is an exciting event for Newfoundland and Mount Pearl.
